Aim:

1. Improved economic situation of marginalized young people through structurally improved match between demand and supply of labour.
2. Sustainable livelihoods and active citizenship through development of knowledge, skills and attitudes of marginalized children and youth.
3. Sustainable livelihoods and active citizenship through increased access to education, improved quality of education and enhanced resilience of children and youth in emergencies.

How:

Skills program (7-steps to WORK method), Quality Education program (STAR school method), Education in Emergencies program, Civic Engagement Alliance (Strategic Partnership in cooperation with Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

Result:

In 2017 and 2018 we have provided 164,662 children with quality education. In total 146 schools were involved. We have also trained 1457 teachers and trained 521 youth in essential skills for future opportunities.

Aim:

How:

Quality Education program (STAR school method), Skills program (7-steps to WORK method), Life Skills program, Civic Engagement Alliance (Strategic Partnership in cooperation with Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

Result:

In 2017 and 2018 we have provided 55,985 children with quality education. In total 63 school were involved. Moreover, 1,242 students received Life Skills- and Social and Emotional Learning lessons through our programs. We have also trained 518 teacher and trained 514 youth in essential skills for future opportunities.

Aim:

1. Improved economic situation of marginalized young people through structurally improved match between demand and supply of labour.
2. Young people, especially girls, claim their rights to SRHR.
3. Sustainable livelihoods and active citizenship through development of knowledge, skills and attitudes of marginalized children and youth.

How:

Skills program (7-steps to WORK method), Comprehensive Sexuality Education program, Quality Education program (STAR school method).

Result:

In 2017 and 2018 we have provided 13,568 children with quality education. In total 56 schools were involved. Moreover, 128 students received Comprehensive Sexuality Education and Social and Emotional Learning lessons. We also trained 156 teachers.

Aim:

Quality Education program (STAR school method) and Education in Emergencies programs, Skills program (7-steps to WORK method), Comprehensive Sexuality Education program.

Result:

In 2017 and 2018 we have provided 62,218 children with quality education. In total 120 schools were involved. Moreover, 30,845 students received Comprehensive Sexuality Education and Social and Emotional Learning lessons through our programs. We have also trained 439 teachers and trained 2,415 youth in essential skills for future opportunities.

South Sudan

Result:

In 2017 and 2018 we have trained 75 teachers and 1938 youth in essential skills for future opportunities.

Democratic Republic of the Congo

Result:

In 2017 and 2018 we have provided 137 children with quality education.

Suriname

Aim:

Sustainable livelihoods and active citizenship through development of knowledge, skills and attitudes of marginalized children and youth. Sustainable livelihoods and active citizenship through (global citizens' promotion of) quality education.

How:

Quality Education program (STAR school method). Quality assessments and monitoring with the EDU Q-card. Edukans Exchange programme.

Result:

In 2017 and 2018 we have provided 8,050 children with quality education. In total 18 schools were involved. We also trained 76 teachers.

Aim:

Result:

In 2017 and 2018 we have provided 7,896 children with quality education. In total 146 schools were involved. Moreover, 2385 children received Comprehensive Sexuality Education and Social and Emotional Learning lessons. We have also trained 423 teachers.

Lebanon

Partners: Lebanese Society of Education and Social Development (LSESD) and Joint Christian Committee for Social Service (JCC)

Aim:

Sustainable livelihoods and active citizenship through increased access to education, improved quality of education and enhanced resilience of children and youth in emergencies.

How:

Education in Emergencies program.

Result:

In 2017 and 2018 we have provided 7,146 children with quality education. In total 37 schools were involved. We have also trained 366 teachers.

Mali

Quality Education program (STAR school method), Vocational education program (7-steps to WORK method) and Lobby and Advocacy in the Civic Engagement Alliance (in cooperation with Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

Result:

In 2018 we have provided 8,583 children with quality education. In total 44 schools were involved. We also trained 42 teachers and trained 117 youth in essential skills for the future.

Peru

Aim:

How:

Quality Education program (STAR school method).

Result:

In 2017 and 2018 we have provided 12,030 children with quality education. In total 131 schools were involved. We also trained 1,437 students on Comprehensive Sexuality Education and Social and Emotional Learning. Furthermore, we trained 1051 teachers in essential skills for future opportunities.

The Netherlands

Partners:

Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ICCO, Woord en Daad, CNV International, Kerk in Actie, Wilde Ganzen, Startup4Kids, coPrisma.

In the Netherlands we closely cooperate with Dutch schools. School leaders, teachers and students participate in our Exchange programmes: World Teacher, Dare2Go and Going Global. Furthermore, we are linking Dutch schools to schools in Ghana through our Schoolmates school action programme in which students make vlogs (short videos) about their school days. Lastly, Edukans cooperates in Lobby and Advocacy Strategic Partnership the Civic Engagement Alliance (together with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

Bolivia

Partners: ICCO Regional Office La Paz.

Aim:

Improved economic situation of marginalized young people through structurally improved match between demand and supply of labour.

How:

Skills program (7-steps to WORK method) and Lobby and Advocacy in Strategic Partnership Civic Engagement Alliance (in cooperation with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

Result:

In 2018 we trained 10 teachers. Furthermore, we trained 346 youth in essential skills for future opportunities.
